Junk removal in Safety Harborwithout waiting for the next cleanup

The big cleanup happens four times a year, the crew comes once, and the list of what they won't collect is longer than the list of what they will. Fencing, decking and lumber are all on the wrong side of it.

Why people call us here

What the quarterly cleanup leaves behind

Four cleanups a year, and the crew comes once

The remaining 2026 windows are September 7–9 and December 7–9, each falling on your regular collection day, up to thirty items, out by 6:30am. Crews do not return a second time. Miss the morning and the next opportunity is three months out.

The 'will not be collected' list is the long one

Building and construction material, concrete, wood fences, decking, pallets and lumber, railroad ties and landscape timbers, rock, sod and dirt, tires, batteries, refrigerators and air conditioners. Between them that covers almost every outdoor project anyone in this city actually undertakes.

Ten items on a normal week, forty pounds a bundle

Outside the cleanup windows you get up to ten bulk items on your regular garbage day, bundled, bagged or boxed and under forty pounds each. A scheduled special residential pickup runs $84.31 per load — a real number, but one you find out after you call.

Where we work in Safety Harbor

Twenty minutes over the causeway

Safety Harbor is a short run for us and a town where the constraint is usually what a pile is made of rather than how big it is.

Downtown and the Philippe Park side

Older homes under mature oaks, brick streets, detached garages and long side yards. Garage clear-outs, shed tear-outs and the accumulated results of thirty years of yard projects.

Bayshore Drive and the waterfront

Docks, seawalls and screened enclosures, which means storm debris, waterlogged furniture and sun-destroyed patio sets. After a blow this is the first side of town we're working.

Green Springs, Bay Pointe and the newer subdivisions

Larger homes, HOAs with rules about what can sit visible and for how long, and fence and deck replacements — the exact material the city's cleanup list excludes.

Fence and deck work

The old fence is the job this city can't help with

Wood fences, decking, pallets and lumber are all named individually on Safety Harbor's not-collected list, and so are concrete, railroad ties and landscape timbers. So when a fence finally goes over in a storm, or a deck gets soft enough that somebody puts a foot through it, the demolition is the easy half. The disposal is the half that stalls for a year.

This is straightforwardly what we do. We take the fence down, pull the posts, load every panel, rail and picket, and haul it — same for a deck, a pergola, a rotted shed or a screen enclosure frame. Nails and screws get raked and magnet-swept off the grass afterward, because that's the part people find out about later.

It's quoted the same way as everything else. Send a photo of the run of fence or the deck from a couple of angles, tell us roughly how long it is, and you'll get one number covering the tear-down, the loading and the dump fee. Demolition jobs are priced individually rather than off the load card, but you still get the number before we start.

Questions

What Safety Harbor customers ask

When is the next quarterly cleanup?

The next two are September 7–9 and December 7–9, 2026, on your regular collection day. Up to thirty items, out by 6:30am, and the crew only passes once. The city runs four a year, so after December the next is the following spring.

Why won't they take my old fence?

Wood fencing, decking, pallets and lumber are specifically excluded from the cleanup, along with construction material, concrete, railroad ties and landscape timbers. It's a materials restriction, not a volume one — splitting it up doesn't help.

Do you charge extra to come to Safety Harbor?

No. Standard loads use the same flat card, $99 to $595. Fence, deck and shed demolition is quoted individually because labor varies, but you still get one number before we start.

Can you take a refrigerator or an air conditioner?

Yes — both are on the city's excluded list and neither is a problem for us. Fridges and freezers carry a $35 add-on, told to you up front, which covers handling the refrigerant properly. For reference the city charges $31.44 a unit for freon removal when it will do it at all.

How fast can you get to Safety Harbor?

Often the same day, and rarely more than 48 hours. After a storm we're busier, and we'll be honest about the queue rather than promising a day we can't hit.
