Paint, solvents, gasoline, pool chemicals and other household hazardous waste have to go to the Pinellas County Household Chemical Collection Center, and they only accept it from residents directly. We can't legally haul it for you. Same for vehicles, boats, and anything with fuel still in it. Ask us and we'll point you the right way.
We're Dien and JC, and we haul junk here in St. Pete. If you've got something you can't lift or the county won't take, that's the whole job description.
Neither of us planned on doing this for a living. But the more we did it, the more we noticed the same thing: the hard part of getting rid of something is almost never the lifting. It's the deciding, and the figuring out where it's even supposed to go. We handle both, and people seem relieved.
We were both born and raised here. So when you message us, you're not reaching a call center in another state — you're talking to Dien or JC, and one of us is the person who shows up at your door. We'd rather run into you at Publix having done a good job.
This is our home city, so we'll be straight about it: St. Pete's “Beyond the Bin” special pickup is a genuinely good program, and for some jobs it's the right call over hiring anybody. Here's where the line falls.
Furniture, carpet and appliances up to three cubic yards are collected free, along with up to five tires, five car batteries, two doors, two windows and two empty 20lb propane tanks. If you've got a couch and an old dryer, that is the cheaper answer and we'll tell you so rather than quote you.
Two cabinets. Two doors. Two windows. A kitchen or bathroom remodel goes past that inside the first hour, and building materials aren't on the free list at all — those are billed at $25.65 per cubic yard, the same as accumulated waste and brush.
Free-list items get scheduled. Anything else, you submit the request, Sanitation works out an estimate from the quantity, and you confirm the fee before a truck comes. That back-and-forth is the exact thing we built this business to remove.
The city runs five recycling and brush sites where St. Pete residents drop off yard waste and recyclables free — just bring a driver's license as proof of residency. For a load of palm fronds and a free Saturday that beats paying anyone, us included. Special pickups can be booked through SeeClickFix or on (727) 893-7398.
