Junk removal in Tampawithout waiting for your SWEEP date

Tampa's SWEEP program is genuinely good — ten cubic yards at no cost. The catch is that it lands on the city's calendar, not yours, and if yours just went by you're waiting.

Why people call us here

SWEEP is good. It's just not on your schedule

Ten cubic yards, on the city's date

The Solid Waste Enhanced Environmental Program gives residential customers a no-cost bulk pickup of up to ten cubic yards — one pile per household, curbside by 8pm the Sunday of your assigned week, on a date you look up by address. It's a real benefit. It's also no help at all if your date passed last month and the house closes in two weeks, and crews don't return to a street they've already cleared.

Off-schedule pickups are priced by the yard

If you can't wait, a special pickup runs $18.12 per cubic yard. A two-car garage is comfortably ten yards, which puts you in the same territory as a flat-rate load — except you're still stacking it yourself and waiting on a slot.

SWEEP only covers houses and small buildings

It's limited to residential customers with an active solid waste account in single-family homes and properties of four units or fewer. Larger buildings, commercial addresses, offices and most managed rentals aren't eligible at all.

Where we work in Tampa

We cross the bay for jobs that are worth the drive

We're a St. Pete outfit and we're honest about that. For a real cleanout the drive makes sense and the pricing is identical. For a single chair on the far side of the county, it doesn't, and we'll say so.

South Tampa

Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, Davis Islands and the surrounding blocks — older homes, alley access, tight driveways and a lot of renovation. Remodel debris, garage clear-outs and pre-listing cleanouts are most of what we do on this side.

Seminole Heights, Riverside Heights and Ybor

Bungalows with detached garages and deep back yards, which is a specific kind of job: everything has to come the length of the lot before it reaches the trailer. Estate and inherited-property cleanouts are common here.

Westshore, Ybor fringe and the Carrollwood line

Bigger houses, more garage, and HOAs with opinions about what sits visible and for how long. Worth knowing where the city line falls: S.W.E.E.P. isn't provided in New Tampa at all — that's Hillsborough County — and much of Carrollwood is unincorporated county rather than City of Tampa. If you're outside city limits the city's programs don't apply to you, and our pricing doesn't change either way.

Straight answer

Sometimes you should just use McKay Bay

If you have a current garbage charge on your City of Tampa utility bill, you can take large items — furniture, mattresses, appliances, yard waste — to the McKay Bay Transfer Station at 112 S 34th Street yourself, at no charge. For one mattress and a pickup truck, that's the right answer and we'll tell you so. Worth checking you're actually inside city limits first: New Tampa and much of Carrollwood are served by Hillsborough County, and the city's free disposal doesn't extend to them.

Where it stops working is where it always stops working: when the thing weighs more than two people can carry, when there's a truckload of it, when you don't own a truck, or when it's a property you're clearing rather than a house you live in. Nobody makes four round trips to McKay Bay on a Saturday and enjoys it.

For those jobs the process is the same as everywhere we work. Send a photo, get one number covering labor, hauling and disposal, and we'll be there — usually the same day. No trip charge for crossing the bay, and the load card is identical to the one on our St. Pete pages.

Questions

What Tampa customers ask

Do you charge more to come to Tampa?

No trip charge — same flat card, $99 for a single item through $595 for a full truck. What we will do is tell you if a job is small enough that we're not the sensible option.

How do I find my SWEEP date?

It's assigned by address and you look it up on the City of Tampa's S.W.E.E.P. page. Worth checking before you call anyone — if yours is next week and you're not in a hurry, use it. Note that S.W.E.E.P. doesn't run in New Tampa; those addresses are serviced by Hillsborough County.

Can I just take it to McKay Bay myself?

If you've got a current garbage charge on your City of Tampa utility bill, yes, and it's free — the transfer station is at 112 S 34th Street. Two catches: you have to be a city customer, so New Tampa and much of Carrollwood don't qualify, and it stops being the right move around the point where you'd need multiple trips.

Do you do commercial and office cleanouts in Tampa?

Yes — office suites, retail fit-outs, tenant turnovers, fixtures and pallets. SWEEP doesn't cover commercial addresses at all. Businesses, realtors and property managers can be set up on Net 15 invoicing.

How fast can you get to Tampa?

Often the same day. We schedule Tampa jobs in blocks rather than one-offs, so if you're flexible on the day it's easier for everyone — tell us your deadline and we'll be straight about it.
